The Region

Plan your next escape

Between forests and bush. Rivers and the sea. At the confluence of two oceans is the Margaret River Region, a pocket of paradise 250 kilometres by car from Perth in Western Australia’s South West, one of the world’s 34 recognised biodiversity hotspots.

Spring is wildflower season through the region’s karri forests and along the Cape to Cape track stretching south from Cape Naturaliste for 125 kilometres to Cape Leeuwin. Winter through to spring’s end heralds the annual whale migration through the azure waters of Geographe Bay to the north. Get lucky fishing for salmon in autumn along any of the region’s pristine beaches. Mountain bike through winter on popular trails through Dunsborough and Margaret River.

Among pristine environmental wonders sits some of the world’s best wineries and a rapidly expanding set of boutique micro-breweries following the lead of small-scale farmers and producers dedicated to producing authentic tastes of the region.

Stay a few days. Take it in. Plan your stay around regional gourmet events, annual literary and arts festivals, family group get togethers, conference needs or destination weddings. Yallingup Dunsborough. Augusta. Busselton. Margaret River itself. Everything you need is within easy reach, right on our luxury bush doorstep.
